Siebel Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with a strong background in Siebel CRM to join our team at ERCOT. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience developing customized applications using eScript and VBScript in Siebel IP17 and above.

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing custom code, testing, and end-to-end integration with other systems. They will work closely with our talented software team to provide creative solutions for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Requirements Document with Business teams
• Coordinate and deliver on all tasks related to Application design, installation configuration, administration Siebel application across all environments
• Complete and submit migration control documentation and support migration activities
• Coordinate with other teams at ERCOT for Connectivity, Version/Patch Update, Upgrade and Database activities
• Conduct and document unit tests and support integration testing
• Provide operational support and help business team by writing ad-hoc queries

Preferred Skills

• Must have prior experience in developing customized solution and writing code based on business requirements in a high-volume Siebel environment using eScript and VB Script
• Should be able to translate business requirements into creative technical solution
• Must understand Siebel architecture and framework capabilities including understanding Gateway Server, Enterprise Server and Siebel Server and tomcat server
• Ability to debug issues related to Siebel enterprise and servers
• Must have extensive experience and knowledge with performance tuning of Siebel implementations

Experience

• Requires minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Application Development with Siebel IP17 or above in the following areas: VB Script and eScript (Preferred), Service Request/Activity with attachments, List of values, Workflows (Preferred), EAI Integration (Web Services & JMS) (Preferred), Install and configure Siebel system using Oracle database (Preferred), Siebel Architecture – Gateway Server, Enterprise Server, Siebel Server (Preferred), Working with Tomcat (Preferred)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
