As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Medical Technologist is responsible for conducting thorough clinical laboratory evaluations on patient samples while ensuring compliance with established quality control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute laboratory analyses on a variety of patient specimens, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results.
2. Perform necessary quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of laboratory operations.
3. Collect blood samples from patients across all age groups, demonstrating proficiency and care in phlebotomy techniques.
4. Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, with a keen understanding of age-specific requirements as outlined in the competency checklist.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- An Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) from a recognized accrediting body.
