Job Summary

Perryman is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical systems and equipment used in the processing of titanium bar and wire products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other electrical equipment and systems.
  • Modify electrical systems to correct functional deviations.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs.
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion.
  • Perform periodic electrical testing and recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
  • Identify potential areas of product and process improvement and assist with development of appropriate solutions.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 5 years of manufacturing or industrial experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in PLCs (Siemens preferred), HMI, SCADA, and networking.
  • Experience with AC and DC motor drive systems.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, 480V to 25Kv.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E and OSHA requirements.
  • Familiar with AutoCad.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
