Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Kohner Properties. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our community, including common areas, grounds, and vacant apartments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify areas that require attention and take corrective action as needed.
  • Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, stairways, and restrooms, according to company standards.
  • Empty trash and recyclables from trash chutes and dumpsters, and replace liners as needed.
  • Perform "trash out" duties at vacated apartments or storage facilities as assigned by the manager.
  • Assist with snow removal and other emergency situations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of experience in a janitorial or maintenance role preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment, and ability to handle chemicals safely.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime as needed. The Janitor will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and gloves, as needed.
