Space Solar Power Engineer

As a Materials R&D Engineer at Rocket Lab, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to advance our space solar power technology. This includes designing and testing new materials and manufacturing processes to improve the efficiency and reliability of our solar panels.
">Key Responsibilities- Develop high-efficiency solar panels using advanced materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test new systems and components.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to optimize performance.
- Work with production engineers to implement new manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Participate in strategic product road-mapping and contribute to the development of new products and services.
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, materials engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in materials-related development or research (for Materials R&D Engineer I).
- 5+ years of experience in materials-related development or research (for Materials R&D Engineer II).
- Experience with interconnection and adhesive bonding used in space solar arrays is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
