Job Title: Regional CDL A Truck Driver

Are you a skilled truck driver looking for a challenging and rewarding career? Ryder is seeking a qualified Class A CDL truck driver to join our team in Spokane, WA.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced truck driver to operate a solo Class A CDL truck on a regional route. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a solo Class A CDL truck on a regional route
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly pay: $34.00 per hour
  • 50+ hours per week
  • Layovers: Up to 5-6 nights out per week
  • Loyalty bonus: $1000 after 6 months and $1000 after 12 months
  • Paid training
  • Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided
  • Paid personal time off starts at day 1 - 80 hours accrued in first year
  • DO NOT LOSE paid personal time policy - we encourage you to use vacation time earned. If you decide not to use it - we pay you the remaining balance at your hourly pay rate.
