Social Work Professor with Teaching and Research Opportunities

We are seeking a highly qualified Social Work Professor to join our faculty at Abilene Christian University. This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to teach and conduct research in the Master of Science in Social Work program, with a focus on advanced generalist practice.
As a professor at ACU, you will be responsible for teaching social work courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as contributing to the development of the curriculum. You will also have opportunities to engage in scholarly activities, such as publishing research and presenting at conferences.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited or internationally-recognized social work program. An earned doctorate is highly preferred, with strong consideration given to ABD candidates in Social Work or a closely related field. We are looking for someone with experience in university teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential.
In addition to your academic qualifications, we value candidates with a strong clinical/micro-practice background and possession of the LCSW or equivalent. Your ability to teach across the social work curriculum is expected, and preference will be given to those who have taught online.
This full-time, 9-month position offers an initial salary commensurate with qualifications, experience, and educational degree. We strive to maintain a safe and secure campus environment and protect our financial and physical assets, so all candidates must undergo a background check.
