Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply technical knowledge and industry standards to optimize production and minimize failure rates
  • Conduct fluid level measurements and document findings to inform production decisions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with supervisors to identify and implement cost-saving measures and improve production efficiency
  • Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells assigned
  • Conduct other tasks as required by supervisor, unique to the assigned geographic area
Requirements
  • High school diploma and a minimum of two years lease operator experience, Artificial Lift Technician experience a plus
  • 2 or more years of production experience required
  • Aptitude to learn and advance in specialized discipline
  • Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
  • Must have knowledge of Echometer or similar equipment
  • Must have general knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations
  • Must have an interest in gaining knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations
  • Demonstrate proficiency with PC based computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be able to perform simple math calculations, mechanical aptitude, possess effective writing skills, and have a safe driving record
  • Candidate must be dependable and able to work overtime, when necessary
  • Candidate must have interpersonal skills and have ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions

Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required. Must be available for on-call.

Physical Demands

Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 to 75 pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain. May be required to fit test and perform duties wearing SCBA and WBA.
