Job Overview

Budderfly, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC/R Lead Technician to join our team in Marietta, GA and neighboring areas. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal and efficient operation of our fleet of HVAC units.

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC units within your geographic area, including maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R systems.
  • Complete commissioning checks of HVAC units to ensure continued, efficient operation, including checking and correcting HVAC RTU controller configurations and mechanical operation of the units.
  • Provide physical maintenance to Budderfly HVAC units, including changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and inspecting units for other mechanical failures.
  • Respond to emergency service calls on nights and weekends (when on-call).
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
  • Keep daily logs and records of all functions in Company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
  • Assist with customers' queries.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working as a service technician on HVAC/R systems.
  • HVAC/R Contractor License is required.
  • HVAC Controls experience, familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a benefit.
  • Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues prior to the issue(s) compounding.
  • Enjoys continuous learning, as supported by your organization, both technically and professionally.
  • Desire to grow professionally further than being 'just a filter changer.'
  • Desire to help shape a developing team with fellow HVAC/R technicians in your area.
  • Customer and safety-focused individual.
  • Ability to travel within Atlanta, GA, and other surrounding areas.
  • Flexibility is required, including working some weekends and being available for on-call duties, which may include nights and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Work across/with organization Teams.
