Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient flow to obtain requested imaging studies in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient orders and ensure accurate imaging procedures
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including dose calibrators and gamma cameras
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, following strict safety protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Maine
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
