Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 3 Seidman Oncology/Palliative Unit. As a PRN RN, you will provide medical, neurological, and telemetry care for inpatient and observation patients with cancer, receiving cancer treatments, or having other related diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex needs.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders in a timely manner.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One-year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration for military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements

This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extended periods, with corrected vision and hearing to normal range. You will work under stressful conditions and irregular hours, with exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
