Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Buildings, Energy, and Infrastructure group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical and design services on multi-discipline projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems for various facility types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate electrical design/construction drawings utilizing REVIT and AutoCAD software.
  • Observe electrical construction progress on projects and prepare design computations and assessments.
  • Perform technical evaluations and prepare technical reports and correspondence under the guidance of a more-senior engineer.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer, and other design team members to complete work efficiently.
  • Report directly to their Senior Engineer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 2-4 years of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described above.
  • Strong organization, technical, and communication skills.
  • Able to maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work.
  • 2+ years of Autodesk REVIT experience gained in a similar design-related field.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) commensurate with their years of experience.
  • High technical aptitude, interested in technology and staying current in their field.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
