Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - Oncology

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ChristianaCare, a leading healthcare provider in Elk Mills, Maryland. As a Registered Nurse - Oncology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care on our 6E Oncology Unit.

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including Hospitalists, Oncologists, and Oncology Nurse Practitioners, to provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer. Your expertise in assessing patients' physical and emotional status, as well as your ability to build relationships with patients and families, will be essential in delivering a true relationship-based care model.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and both the patient's and the family's knowledge of the disease and its treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Maryland.
  • At least 1 year of experience in oncology nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
