About the Role

The Walsh Group is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team for the Miami Signature Bridge project in Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct, erect, and install structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
  • Measure and mark guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work.
  • Prepare, build, and install wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridge, drain structures, walls, and additional structures.
  • Assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
  • Use carpenter's belts with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladders.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
  • Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
