We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Detection Engineer to join our team at SOC, a Day & Zimmermann company. As a Cyber Detection Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing detection methods to identify and mitigate cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure tools to detect atomic, computed, or behavioral indicators based on generated tactical intelligence across SOC's detection sensors.
- Develop and implement detection feedback processes, including tuning false positives.
- Use machine learning and pattern analysis to improve detection of specific types of threats.
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience in order to operate within the scope contemplated by the level.
- Prior experience performing as a SOC analyst.
- Prior experience performing similar application security functions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player.
- CEH, GCIH, or relevant IT technology certification.
- Upbeat and positive attitude.
- Hands-on cybersecurity experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of cybersecurity threats, attacks, attack vector, and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience working with detection tools and techniques. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about cybersecurity, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
