Key Responsibilities:
- Orient and guide service providers on TES policies and procedures, including the TES Service Provider Handbook.
- Ensure service providers meet utilization standards and complete necessary documentation promptly.
- Facilitate effective teamwork and communication among staff through meetings and feedback.
- Manage student records, including progress documentation and provider notes.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.
- Engage with parents and advocates to tailor services to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with district personnel to implement and sustain educational programs.
- Coordinate program components and resources to deliver services according to established guidelines.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and evaluation processes to ensure adequate staffing.
- Prepare written communications to address inquiries and document meetings.
- Supervise staff to ensure the effective development and implementation of services based on student needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education is required.
- A valid Michigan Special Education teaching credential.
- 3-5 years of direct service experience as a Special Education Teacher.
- 1-3 years of administrative or supervisory experience.
- Valid automobile insurance for work-related travel.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Work Environment:
- Varied settings including classrooms, clinics, and home environments.
- Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud, with physical demands that may differ.
- Experience working with individuals exhibiting diverse behaviors and needs.
