Spiritual Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Spiritual Support Specialist to join our team at Excellian HR and Staffing Solutions.
About the RoleThis is a PRN position that requires providing spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families during end-of-life care. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field and certification as a Chaplain or equivalent experience.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and spiritual needs during end-of-life care.
- Offer support and guidance in accordance with the patient's and family's spiritual beliefs and preferences.
- Coordinate and lead memorial services and support groups for bereaved families, facilitating healing and closure.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients and support for their families.
- Develop and maintain resources for grief support, including informational materials and community referrals.
- Conduct regular visits to patients and families, providing comfort, support, and advocacy as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Chaplain (e.g., Board Certified Chaplain) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastoral care or bereavement role, ideally in a hospice setting.
- Licensure- Per state guidelines, if any
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support in sensitive situations.
- Working knowledge of community spiritual resources and other community resources.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of grief and bereavement processes, as well as community resources for additional support.
- Reliable transportation. Current and valid auto liability insurance and driver's license if personal vehicle is used for work.
