Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with healthcare professionals and patients who reach out to the pharmacy. Address inquiries or route calls to the appropriate personnel for resolution. Ensure timely and accurate processing of messages.
- Support pharmacists in the timely and precise dispensing of medications, including organizing medication bins, preparing labels, and restocking medication stations. Ensure prompt delivery of all patient medication-related information and products.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards for medications within nursing units.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives and adhere to all infection control and safety policies to enhance patient care quality and outcomes. Verify that all medication expiration dates are checked and that stock is rotated appropriately.
- Participate in monthly inventory management activities, ensuring accurate processing of returns while checking expiration dates before restocking items.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active pharmacy technician registration.
- Preference for candidates residing in the local area.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting, particularly with medication management systems.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with no weekend or holiday shifts.
- Free parking is available, with a structured break schedule.
- Availability to start within a reasonable timeframe and commit to a minimum duration of the role.
