Family School Liaison Job Description

FamilyCore is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family School Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) services to at-risk students in local public schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individual and group SEL services to support students' social and emotional growth.
  • Collect and report client data outputs and outcomes to inform program development and improvement.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and methods to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, school staff, and community partners.
  • Identify and refer students and families to community resources to meet their needs.
  • Provide safe transportation for students and families, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 1-3 years' experience in social work, education, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to attain.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License and proof of valid vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks with DCFS, IDPH, and OIG Provider Sanctions.
