Job Summary:

As a Dental Member Assistant II, you will provide exceptional customer service and front desk support to members and patients. Your primary responsibilities will include verifying patient information, requesting completion of personal data forms, and collecting and reviewing visit slips for proper completion and treatment status.

You will also be responsible for entering visit slip data into appropriate systems, performing scheduling functions, and providing scheduling support for RDH schedules. Additionally, you will ensure all dental records are available according to updated printed schedules and respond to chart requests.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as you will be conducting confidential and complex financial discussions with a diverse member population.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform check-in, check-out, and customer service support to members, patients, staff, and dentists.
  • Verify patient personal information and request completion of personal data forms.
  • Collect and review visit slips for proper completion and treatment status.
  • Enter visit slip data into appropriate systems.
  • Perform scheduling functions for members, patients, staff, and dentists.
  • Provide scheduling support for RDH schedules.
  • Ensure all dental records are available according to updated printed schedules.
  • Respond to chart requests.
Basic Qualifications:
  • One year of dental member assistant or dental member assistant (front office) experience with understanding of dental clinical procedures.
  • Cash handling experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrated customer service, cash handling, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ADA coding.
  • Ability to type/computer keyboard.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under indirect supervision.
