Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. The successful candidate will assist in the discovery process, maintain claim management system databases, and conduct initial claims investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the discovery process by reviewing and drafting initial documents, collecting relevant factual information, and responding to routine correspondence.
  • Maintain claim management system databases, recording new lawsuits and assigning appropriate coding and system flags.
  • Conduct initial claims investigations, collect law sources, and prepare executive summaries and legal documents.
  • Notify litigation administration about concerns on litigation files and assist in processing expense invoices.
  • Maintain records of unbilled expenses, accounts receivable transaction entries, and payments received.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy, interpret information to form decisions, and effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Degree or Juris Doctorate.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents, working in a corporate legal environment, and proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
