Renewable Energy Installer

Prometheus Solar is seeking an experienced Solar Panel Technician to join our team in Flagstaff and northern Arizona.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with experience in installing solar panel systems.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing job sites, reading and interpreting building plans, bending and laying conduit, assembling solar array racking, and maintaining high-quality assurance and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare job sites by stocking trucks with necessary equipment.
• Read and comprehend building plans for roof, ground mount, and hybrid system installations.
• Bend and lay conduit, work with electrical panels, install batteries and generators.
• Assemble solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative mounting equipment.
• Organize and maintain system components, clean up job sites, unload and restock job materials.
• Maintain the highest level of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
• Communicate in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner.
• Perform general construction work, such as using hand tools, measuring, leveling, and power tools.
• Maintain documentation of completed installations.
• Work outside in various weather conditions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General construction knowledge or project management experience, including roofing, electrical, carpentry, or general construction.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret building and electrical plans.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
