About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our lead assistant district attorney and scholar-in-residence on a series of historical projects. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in the history of forensic science, exonerations, and race relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in reading and analyzing archival materials
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop research memoranda
  • Visit research sites and scan large amounts of court transcripts, photographs, and other archival materials
  • Correspond with various actors and institutions to obtain archival materials
Requirements
  • Current undergraduate student entering junior or senior year in Fall 2024
  • Familiarity with the criminal justice system processes
  • Keen interest in history of forensic science, exonerations, and race relations
  • Previous experience with historical archival work preferred but not required
