Key Responsibilities
  • Provide system support to ancillary systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate the implementation of department-specific projects, including system testing and staff training.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and ICD-10.
  • Compile productivity and quality statistics for the HIM department and report results to management.
  • Monitor staffing levels and work activity, and provide support to management as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or medical certification in a related area.
  • 5 years of experience in HIM functions or a related field.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RHIT/RHIA credentialed.
  • Supervisory experience.
