Patient Services Representative Proton Center Full Time Days

The Patient Services Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional patient experience at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's Proton Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, managing patient registration, and coordinating various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet patients and guests, confirm identities, and provide necessary information related to their visit.
- Patient Registration: Complete check-in/out functions, obtain and update patient information, and verify insurance details.
- Scheduling: Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate outside testing for patients.
- Financial Transactions: Collect co-payments, outstanding balances, and point-of-service payments.
- Waiting Area Maintenance: Ensure the waiting area is clean and comfortable for patients.
- Communication: Inform patients of delays or changes in appointment status and escalate to leadership as needed.
- Confidentiality and Patient Safety: Perform daily tasks in a manner that contributes to and ensures an environment of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Medical Record Requests: Respond to requests from patients, insurance companies, physician offices, subpoenas, and legal requests per protocol.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience preferred, with one to three years of experience in a healthcare setting.
