Whitestone REIT is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Houston market. Reporting to the Director of Property Management and Maintenance, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capacity to follow established processes and procedures to successfully complete assigned projects.
Candidates must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems as needed;
- Repair interior and exterior finishes and drywall of properties;
- Repair electrical issues within properties;
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of properties;
- Repair water pumps and fountains;
- Manage time wisely and productively while working independently;
- Able to complete tasks from start to finish.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required;
- Valid driver's license required;
- HVAC certification preferred;
- Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience in a commercial environment required;
- Minimum of two years of general plumbing and electrical experience required;
- Ability to perform physical requirements such as stooping, climbing, and lifting 25 lbs. or more;
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and complete reports.
