Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at the Texas Health & Human Services Commission. As an APRN, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and provide comprehensive patient care independently or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Direct medical activities/treatment, monitor trends and activities, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide treatment to HHS employees injured in the course and scope of employment.
  • Supervise the work of others who provide medical care to patients.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals and paraprofessionals as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse in the State of Texas or in another state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Certified as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Must have, or can obtain, a current registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
  • Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#) as defined by Medicare Part B and enroll as a Medicaid and Medicare Part B provider.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical nursing experience.
  • Experience in supervising or leading the work of others.
