Overview

Are you interested in a rewarding career in healthcare with opportunities for growth? Fairview Health Services is offering a unique opportunity for you to become a Nursing Assistant and join our team.

Program Details

We will cover the cost of the CNA course, state NA exam, and provide wages while you complete the 75-hour online/in-person course. The program consists of online training, in-person skills training/testing, and clinical days on the unit you are hired for.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and showers.
  • Provide glucose monitoring, medication administration, temperatures, and blood pressure under the direction of a nurse.
  • Observe patients and report status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Chart or document status in the electronic medical record system.
  • Lift and transfer patients with/without mechanical lifts.
Requirements
  • Commit to Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week while enrolled in the program.
  • Accept a nursing assistant position at one of Fairview Health Services' hospitals.
  • Complete and pass Fairview Health Services' Nursing Assistant Course.
  • Be comfortable using computers for online coursework and educational software.
  • Be willing to commit to employment with Fairview Health Services for at least 1 year after start date.
