Role Responsibilities: In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our proprietary Machine Learning accelerators, including Inferentia and Trainium, which are at the forefront of AWS's advancements in machine learning capabilities, supporting solutions like Generative AI.
The Automated Reasoning Group within the AWS Neuron Compiler team operates at the confluence of Artificial Intelligence and program analysis, aiming to elevate the quality of code in our compiler stack. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of analyzers for various ML compiler stages and Intermediate Representations (IRs). Your contributions will include shaping the design and semantics of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) that our clients appreciate when constructing neural architectures.
Key Contributions: You will architect and implement essential tools, publish pioneering research, and guide a talented team of experienced scientists and engineers. It is essential to be technically proficient, credible, and inquisitive as a respected AWS Neuron engineer, innovating for our customers.
Challenges: Your role will involve addressing significant challenges alongside a skilled engineering team, contributing to state-of-the-art design and research in compiler technology and deep learning systems software. A solid background in programming languages, compilers, program analyzers, and program synthesis engines will be advantageous.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline
- A robust publication record
- Experience in hands-on compiler or tool development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Publications in programming languages, compilers, static analysis, or verification
- Experience mentoring junior researchers
- Engagement with a broader community of compiler users and developers
