Position Summary

As a Travel Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of retail reroofing projects across various sites. Your extensive knowledge of roofing systems and construction practices, coupled with your leadership skills, will be crucial in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Work closely with project managers and estimators to analyze project specifications and timelines.
  • Create comprehensive project execution plans, focusing on resource management and subcontractor coordination.
  • Schedule and oversee project activities to maximize resource efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Track project progress and proactively address any challenges that arise.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor onsite teams, including roofing crews and subcontractors.

  • Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback and training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction or roofing preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, particularly in retail reroofing.
  • In-depth knowledge of roofing systems and construction methodologies.
  • Proven track record in project management and team supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work on various project sites.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting heavy materials.
  • OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification.
