Computed Tomography Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Assistant to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
