Position Overview:
The compensation range for this role is $296,205-$601,901, and it includes participation in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.


The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, Health System is actively seeking to appoint a full-time Academic Breast Surgeon/Surgical Oncologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. This appointment may fall within the Clinical X, Health Science Clinical Professor, or In-Residence series, contingent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.


As part of the UC Davis NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, the selected individual will engage with the Division of Surgical Oncology and collaborate broadly within the center.


This recruitment specifically targets a breast surgical oncologist with expertise in all facets of breast surgical care.


The ideal candidate will enjoy significant opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and is expected to utilize the strengths of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in translational research, including the design and execution of clinical trials.


Depending on their clinical and leadership experience, candidates may be considered for leadership roles and may spearhead the growth of the existing breast cancer program.


The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to clinical care, education, research, and university service, aligned with the academic series. The Clinical X and In-Residence series require engagement in teaching, research, service, and clinical responsibilities. In contrast, the Health Science Clinical Professor series emphasizes clinical work, education, and support for the department's research initiatives.
