We assist businesses in navigating complex financial, tax, technical, and personnel challenges, allowing them to concentrate on growth and competitive advantage.
Position Overview:
If you are ready to transcend traditional CPA roles and lead a team in anticipating client needs while making a significant impact in the profession, we invite you to explore the opportunity of joining our team as a Senior Audit Associate. This role offers the chance to thrive in an environment that nurtures both leadership and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Associate, you will possess the technical acumen and experience to work autonomously while often guiding one or more Associates in delivering exceptional service to our public and middle market clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting diverse accounting, auditing, and consulting assignments under the guidance of supervisory personnel.
- Preparing financial analyses and models.
- Exhibiting proficiency in technical skills, work quality, and adherence to professional standards.
- Meeting deadlines and fulfilling client expectations regarding deliverables.
- Participating in the planning and scheduling of client engagements.
- Documenting work performed and summarizing findings.
- Drafting written reports and contributing sections to comprehensive reports.
- Assisting in the review of schedules, calculations, work papers, and other documentation.
- Engaging in various duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
- Contributing to the recruitment of entry-level and experienced personnel by participating in campus interviews and related activities.
- Building relationships with clients and delivering high-quality service, identifying opportunities for value addition.
- Ensuring accuracy in data entry and maintenance across all accounting and consulting activities.
- Learning effective workload management and delegation from your Performance Advisor or direct Supervisor.
- Participating in marketing and promoting the Firm.
Additional Responsibilities:
In your role, you will also be encouraged to:
- Join a relevant community association after your first year of employment, subject to Performance Advisor approval.
- Engage in the Full Potential Development Program and act as a buddy for new hires.
- Take individual responsibility for learning new technologies introduced by the Firm as applicable to your service area.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in public accounting or consulting, demonstrating increasing complexity and project involvement.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
- A current and valid CPA license is strongly preferred; if not licensed, candidates must be CPA eligible and actively pursuing licensure.
- Membership in good standing with the AICPA and respective state societies if licensed.
- Proficiency in computer systems and accounting software relevant to the practice area.
At HORNE, we are redefining expectations by enhancing client experiences to be strategic and anticipatory rather than merely historical. Our focus spans various industries, including banking, construction, healthcare, and public and middle market companies, ensuring that we deliver service-based insights that drive agility and maximize returns.
