This position requires collaboration with product development teams to devise packaging solutions suitable for transportation, performing regular assessments, and pinpointing areas for improving product delivery and packaging performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold packaging testing protocols (PTP) that align with product distribution models and Total Supply Chain (TSC) strategies.
  • Advise teams on product design for TSC load capacities and handling, while investigating economical delivery methods.
  • Oversee the packaging design process, develop prototypes, and evaluate designs in collaboration with suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage a diverse range of packaging projects and success indicators to ensure timely and effective packaging solutions.
  • Identify and resolve critical packaging challenges, documenting insights and executing corrective measures.
  • Evaluate opportunities for cost savings and sustainability through material choices, design enhancements, and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental reviews to assess product delivery, establish special project teams, and set annual goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in packaging design and application.
  • Extensive knowledge of packaging materials, applications, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with ASTM, ISTA, ISO, and other packaging standards.
  • Experience in developing packaging testing protocols for comprehensive supply chains.
  • Support for production launches and equipment trials associated with new packaging designs.
  • Proficiency in ArtiosCad, SolidWorks, or comparable solid modeling software.
