About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Sales Representative to join our team at Homesite. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for quoting and selling homeowner's and renter's insurance policy premiums to new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote and Sell Insurance Products: You will be responsible for quoting and selling insurance products to new and existing customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their insurance coverage.
  • Advise Prospects on Insurance Coverage: You will advise prospects on appropriate insurance coverage and options relative to their circumstances and needs, ensuring that they have the right coverage for their situation.
  • Run Reports and Verify Information: You will run reports from multiple systems to verify the accuracy of information provided by potential insured regarding insurance and driving history.
  • Explain Coverage and Payment Options: You will explain coverage and payment options to customers, ensuring that they understand their insurance policy and any changes that may be made.
  • Follow Up on Unsold Leads: You will follow up on unsold internet leads, which may have a likelihood of purchasing, to ensure that they are contacted and offered the opportunity to purchase insurance.
  • Service Existing Customer Policies: You will service existing customer policies, including policy changes, when customer service is not available.
  • Follow Up on Underwriting Department Requests: You will follow up on underwriting department requests to ensure that policy underwriting adherence and retention are improved.
  • Attend Sales Meetings and Training: You will attend sales meetings, seminars, or educational activities to stay current with market trends, regulations, and maintain state licensing.
Requirements
  • Active Property and Casualty License: You must have an active Property and Casualty License to be considered for this role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task with speed and accuracy.
  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: You will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting pay of $23.00/hour, a Variable Compensation monthly bonus plan that can range from $2,500.00-$3,500.00 per month, and relocation assistance to eligible candidates.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and wellbeing benefits, a 401(k) contribution, a pension plan, an annual incentive, 9 paid holidays, and a paid time off program (23 days accrued annually for full-time employees).
