Nurse Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Educator to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel.
- Act as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff, providing support and guidance to ensure successful onboarding and professional growth.
- Implement a comprehensive education program for the facility, aligning with Tenet educational goals and vision.
- Develop and deliver educational programs, including orientation, continuing education, and in-services, to meet the needs of nursing staff and support the Tenet model of professional nursing practice.
- Ensure all program/course revisions meet Department of Nursing and regulatory expectations and standards.
- Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities for nursing staff.
- Serve as a facilitator to nurse residents and actively mentor and support their growth in the profession and clinical practice.
- Participate in continuing education provider unit learning and evaluate nursing education activities for continuing education credit.
- Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures as requested and mentor colleagues, other nurses, students, and others as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a related specialty.
- Preferred: 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Occasional pressure due to calls, classes, and projects.
