Heavy Equipment Engineer Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing new hydraulic machinery concepts based on specific requirements. You will work closely with other engineers to provide technical solutions for moderately complex design problems assigned by more senior engineers. Your goal will be to timely complete tasks and projects while meeting all requirements.

About the Role: As a Heavy Equipment Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing industrial equipment for the electric utility industry. You will work collaboratively with our team of experts to create innovative solutions for our clients. Your expertise in heavy hydraulic machinery with complex electrical components will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities: Design, prototype, and test new hydraulic machinery concepts
Collaborate with other engineers to provide technical solutions for moderately complex design problems
Timely completion of tasks and projects

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience as an engineer of heavy hydraulic machinery with complex electrical components
Prior experience in welding and weldments
Experience designing heavy equipment for over-the-road use
1+ year of experience with SolidWorks
Experience with hydraulics design
Familiarity with OSHA, FMVSS, and AISC standards

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year.
