Database Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a critical member of our fast-paced Marine Corps product development team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of cloud-based data integrations, data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and Business Intelligence (BI) services for Marines globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud-based data integrations, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions
  • Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) services for Marines globally
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions
  • Provide technical expertise and support for C4ISR systems and information technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and BI
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Software Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited College or University
  • Secret Level Clearance
  • 6 years of experience in DoD C4ISR systems or information technologies, including systems analysis, systems architecture, systems/equipment support, test and evaluation, and logistics support
  • 3 years of technical experience in support of DoD C4ISR systems or information technologies
  • Strong DDL and DML SQL skills
  • Experience with OLAP and Data Warehouse development and operation (preferably Redshift)
  • Strong experience with database permissions, roles, and security
  • Experience with operating within Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments
  • Experience working within Cloud environments (preferably AWS)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data Analytics experience or provisioning of data for Data Analytics
  • Dashboarding with tools such as Amazon Quicksight
