The Maintenance Mechanic is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's mechanical systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, including turbines, generators, boilers, and pumps.
- Inspect and lubricate equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Develop and implement plans for complex maintenance projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with boilers, cranes, and other heavy equipment a plus.
- Welding certification a strong asset.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and heights.
- Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.
