Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled Senior Configuration Management Specialist for a hybrid contract opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage product revision control and design, develop, and support documentation traceability efforts across manufacturing and engineering design teams.
  • Ensure Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes and procedures are fully implemented and compliant with contractual and internal requirements.
  • Track and control the configuration baseline through the change management process for the life cycle of products assigned.
  • Review and analyze proposed engineering changes to determine the overall effect on the product.
  • Track, log, categorize, and maintain manufacturing or engineering changes made against the accepted customer baseline(s) standards.
  • Review, monitor, and analyze Technical Data Packages and take appropriate actions to ensure impacted key stakeholders are notified.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent experience/combined education and 3+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience.
  • Experience with the application of CM-related policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-disciplined teams.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Products (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong and accurate attention to detail.
  • Business Acumen.
  • Self-starter and independent working attributes are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and document management skills.
Desired Requirements
  • Experience with Product Life cycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Experience with ERP, SharePoint, Windchill, JIRA, and/or Confluence.
  • Configuration Management Principles and Applications SAE EIA-649C.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing or design.
  • A full understanding of Engineering Bills of Materials and/or Manufacturing Bills of materials.
  • Technical experience interpreting specifications.
  • Previous experience in a defense, aerospace, military, or logistics environment would be a plus.
