Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Disaster Recovery Manager to join our team at Plexos Group LLC. This role is critical in providing support and expertise in the aftermath of flooding and hurricanes, ensuring communities receive the necessary assistance to recover and rebuild.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of damage caused by flooding and hurricanes to public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, schools, and utilities.
  • Grant Management: Assist in the preparation, review, and processing of Public Assistance grant applications to ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical guidance and support to state and local governments, non-profit organizations, and other eligible applicants on FEMA's Public Assistance Program.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to coordinate disaster response and recovery efforts, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of assistance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all assessments, applications, and communications related to Public Assistance projects.
  • Training and Outreach: Conduct training sessions and workshops for stakeholders on the Public Assistance Program, focusing on best practices for disaster recovery and mitigation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities and documentation comply with FEMA policies, procedures, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in disaster response and recovery, with a focus on flooding and hurricanes.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of FEMA's Public Assistance Program, federal grant management, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and FEMA-specific software.
  • Certifications: FEMA certifications in Public Assistance or related fields are preferred.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
