Job Summary

The Restaurant Team Lead plays a key role in supporting daily operations, focusing on delivering exceptional service to guests at Bosselman Food Services, Inc.

This position is responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring, and scheduling team members, collaborating with Kitchen Management to ensure food quality, efficiency, and cost control, and overseeing daily tasks and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and scheduling team members to ensure a well-trained and efficient team.
  • Collaborate with Kitchen Management to ensure food quality, efficiency, and cost control, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Oversee daily tasks and inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and timely ordering of supplies.
  • Maintain sanitation standards, adhering to proper protocols and procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor food preparation and freshness, ensuring that all menu items meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Provide training to new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
  • Supervise food orders and stock rotation, ensuring that all inventory is accurately tracked and managed.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and open communication.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to proper sanitation protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Additional Job Duties

  • Support in other assigned tasks, as needed, to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a team of 5 or more employees, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their success.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • 3-6 months experience in restaurant, retail, or customer service, with a strong culinary background.
  • Serv-Safe Certification, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and handling procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong culinary background, with experience in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with PC software and POS systems, with a strong understanding of inventory management and tracking.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and guests.
  • Positive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
  • Compliance with safety and food handling procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Professional conduct at all times, with a strong sense of integrity and ethics.

  • Reliable transportation and communication, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. and long periods of standing, with physical agility for manual tasks.
