EEG and EKG Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Diagnostic Cardiology Unit as an EEG and EKG Technician. This role is essential in delivering high-quality diagnostic services.

Work Schedule

• As needed basis, with shifts typically from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Minimum requirement of 6 shifts within a 6-week timeframe, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic electroencephalography (EEG) assessments.
• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from designated body areas to the electroencephalograph apparatus.
• Review patient records and provide instructions to patients prior to procedures.
• Monitor patients during tests and report any irregular findings.
• Identify and rectify artifacts during testing.
• Edit and submit results to the attending physician for further analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain and manage EEG equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Current BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire or transfer, accepted from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• EKG certification is highly desirable.
• At least one year of experience as an EEG Technician is strongly preferred.
