About the Role

The Academic Affairs Manager is a key member of the InsideHigherEd team, responsible for coordinating and managing office operations of the academic affairs office. This position provides administrative support to both the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Operations: Coordinate and manage office operations, including maintaining the physical files relevant to the Office of Academic Affairs, including confidential and personnel files.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs and the AVPAA, including coordinating travel authorizations and expense reporting.
  • Student Services: Serve as the primary and initial point of contact for all student services in the office and support the AVPAA in the investigation and reporting of student complaints/grievances.
  • Fiscal Management: Work closely with the AVPAA to manage the fiscal operation of the division, including tracking and reconciliation of eProcurement and purchasing.
  • Event Planning: Assume lead responsibility for all ceremonies and events hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs, including Convocations, Commencement, Institutes, etc.
  • Curriculum Management: Work collaboratively with the Registrar to ensure alignment and consistency of the curriculum system, including the catalog, student records, degree audits, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Two to three years of higher education office-related work experience.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency with Adobe Sign, and proficiency with Canva and/or InDesign.
