Kingsbury is a 27-bed medical-surgical unit at Cheshire Medical Center, providing care to inpatients with various medical conditions and post-operative patients.
You will be part of a competent and committed team performing diverse caregiving tasks. Our patients are predominantly elderly, but we also care for patients as young as 18. The unit has a good mix of experienced staff and welcomes newly licensed individuals. Teamwork and camaraderie are essential, as well as having a positive work environment.

Under the supervision of the Nursing Team Leader, Clinical Leader, and/or Department Director, and under the direction of the department physicians, you will apply the nursing process to make nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and document relevant data and care processes.
We work closely with the education department and the unit educator to ensure everyone follows evidence-based practice. Professional development opportunities are available, including cardiac telemetry training, ACLS verification, and other certification support. You will also find advancement opportunities, such as charge nurse training, preceptor training, and leadership development courses.
There is also the opportunity to become a unit-based supervisor who assists the nurse manager with the day-to-day operations of the unit.
Kingsbury has an active unit practice council promoting shared governance, in which you are encouraged to participate.Requirements:
: Must be a currently licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire with a minimum of one year nursing experience preferred. Current certification in BCLS is required. Excellent assessment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational/time management skills are vital. Must demonstrate the ability to work well as a member of a team and respond calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment and during a crisis and/or emergency. Computer skills are also required.
