Overview:
This role involves selecting sterile supplies for surgical and procedural needs.
Responsibilities include receiving and processing shipments, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring proper transportation of materials to designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock incoming supplies and manage stock requisitions.
- Investigate items with insufficient information for receiving.
- Operate powered equipment as necessary.
- Document receipts in the system and manage paperwork; troubleshoot issues.
- Distribute inbound packages throughout the facility and handle department orders.
- Coordinate outbound materials and expedite item location.
- Support workflow and communication across departments.
- Assist in enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in physical inventory data entry and verification.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory levels and perform expiration checks.
- Mentor staff as required.
Administrative Duties:
- Track issues and transfers, verify stock discrepancies, and perform filing tasks.
- Manage outbound shipping as needed.
- Prepare products for courier delivery and may occasionally operate hospital vehicles.
Within the scope of this position, critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the capacity to take appropriate actions.
