We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. as a Buyer for Quantum Computing and Hardware Procurement. Key Responsibilities
  • Procure and manage the acquisition of quantum computing and hardware components, including negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including research scientists and engineering teams, to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Manage the procurement process from request for proposal (RFP) to purchase order creation, vendor onboarding, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of procurement experience, preferably in a fast-paced research and development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, supply chain management, or engineering.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and financial applications, such as Oracle and COUPA.
  • Experience with metrics creation and data presentation, as well as process improvement and scalability.
