Pediatrician Job Description

Hikinex is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children and adolescents, ensuring their optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice medicine within the scope of your license, training, and credentialing, adhering to current standards of care and quality criteria.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
  • Complete charting on an electronic medical record and required paperwork in a timely manner, maintaining confidential patient information.
  • Participate in the development and review of organizational policies and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency.
  • Board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics, obtained within 2 years of graduation and maintained current.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois.
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction.
  • CPR certification, current and active.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Polish is preferred.
