The Chef de Cuisine is a critical role within our culinary team, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in our food offerings.
Key Responsibilities:- Train and lead kitchen personnel to achieve high standards of quality and service.
- Supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to meet the needs of our locations.
- Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and flavor profiles.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus to meet customer expectations.
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and/or demonstrations as needed.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a related position.
- Post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree.
- Advanced knowledge of food principles and practices.
- Experiential knowledge of management and problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills.
