SUMMARY:

The Structural Assembly Technician is responsible for executing a range of tasks to construct and assemble critical structural components, including fuselage panels and bulkheads, in accordance with engineering specifications.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct rework as necessary, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Stabilize and balance jack systems and cradles prior to commencing skin changes.
  • Remove and replace skins and major MRB components that do not conform to engineering drawings.
  • Transform detailed skin and structure into engineering configurations through match drilling.
  • Troubleshoot significant structural repairs as per engineering guidelines and replace parts to ensure compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and finalize precision structural and system components based on technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform functional tests and ensure the fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.
  • Utilize shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks effectively.
  • Verify that work adheres to established instructions and meets engineering specifications.
  • Identify and report discrepancies according to applicable procedures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Facilitate the movement of products within the manufacturing area as required.
  • Support continuous product flow by assisting and training employees across various classifications.
  • Participate in cross-training for inspection and become qualified.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is essential.
  • Familiarity with corporate, VIP, or turboprop aircraft is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and holidays.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check to obtain necessary security clearances.
